Hear us, Lord! This, the third album recorded by the Singers, is a compilaton of songs of faith and inspiration commemorating the 2000th anniversary of the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Sacred music has always been an integral part of the Singers' repertoire. The first encounter that many people have with the Singers is during during a wedding or other celebratory church service. Each of the Singers recognizes that music and their ability to sing it is a gift from God that is to be shared with everyone. The Singers have tried to include a variety of Christian music. Some songs are representative of earlier church music while others are examples of more recent treatments of Christian texts. Some pieces have Roman Catholic roots, some have Protestant origins. Whatever the source, whatever the period, the message is the same -- the Lord is risen, let us give thanks and rejoice!
